Volunteer Your Time

February 2004 Volunteers of the month.

Two large project were undertaken by the homeowners during February 2004. Culvert cleaning and culvert repair. Bernie Kerr, lot 80 coordinated both projects, thanks Bernie for your time.

While we were cleaning the entrance to the airparks water drainage system.  A culvert pipe under the runway was found collapsed, adjacant to lot 39.  We initially intended to replace a small section.  The runway would need to be closed for the repair.

The repair was scheduled for Monday February 16.  The FAA was notified. NOTAMS were issued.

When the pipe was uncovered it was found that a complete 20 foot section would need to be repaced.  A tremendous amount of coordination and energy came togerther and the repair was completed successfully.
